Sheffield United takeover: Prince Abdullah ready to entertain new offers after Dozy Mmobuosi fails on his part

Sheffield United are no closer to a takeover and according to reports, any deal with Dozy Mmobuosi is now as good as off.

According to Yorkshire Live this morning, United and Prince Abdullah are ready to move on without Mmobuosi in the picture.

Despite a number of public appearances speaking about his desire to take over Sheffield United, Mmobuosi has failed to satisfy EFL questions on finances and more, despite face to face meetings.

And according to Yorkshire Live, Mmobuosi has now failed to keep up with a number of agreements he put in place with Prince Abdullah in the first place. With that in mind, it’s now reported that Abdullah is ready to move on and entertain new offers.

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

Mmobuosi’s period of ‘exclusivity’ is now said to be over, leaving the door open for fresh bidders. The door is not completely closed on the Nigerian businessman, however.

Takeover fears coming true

It’s not the end of the world for United given promotion should be sealed in the next week or so. But all this shows is that those people who doubted Mmobuosi from the start are being proven right.

Something hasn’t seemed right for over a month or so now. After having his company audited by Deloitte and then meeting the EFL in person, things should have progressed. But they just haven’t and Mmobuosi has either got cold feet, or he’s simply not able to satisfy the process.

Sheffield United News View: Time for everyone to move on

Prince Abdullah is right here if he’s thinking of moving on. This has rumbled on for far too long now and Dozy Mmobuosi has had ample time to show everything he needed.

The focus for United is all on tonight against West Brom. A win, and promotion is sealed. From there, talks of takeovers and everything else can go on hold for a bit. Promotion ensures the money is there for contract talks, new signings, and to clear outstanding debts.

On the surface, it looks like Dozy Mmobuosi had good intentions but in the end, just hasn’t had the necessary funds or evidence to go forward.
