Sheffield United are ready to cash in on defender Anel Ahmedhodzic, as long as someone meets their £20m asking-price.

The Bosnian is the subject of interest from Napoli at the moment and it’s believed the defender is open to moving to the Italian side.

Ahmedhodzic was given the captain’s armband by Wilder recently but has had a stop-start season due to injuries and other issues.

And now, according to The Sun, United are ready to sell Ahmedhodzic, as long as the money is right.

It’s claimed that Napoli and Atalanta are keen on the defender, who is open to moving abroad.

Sheffield United ready to sell Anel Ahmedhodzic

The report claims that Blades boss Chris Wilder will sanction the deal as long as he gets the money to spend in return.

With that money, it’s claimed Wilder wants to fill three positions, with two being in defence and one being a goalkeeper at the very least.

Mason Holgate is believed to be one of the players close to signing, with reports suggesting he was actually having a medical last week before the deal faltered.

Ivo Grbic is also expected to sign and become United’s new goalkeeper.

The Blades take on West Ham United today looking for a massive three points that will bring them back into the mix for survival.

Wilder has options available with a more or less fully fit squad to pick from after the mini break this month.
