Javier Pereira posts intriguing Twitter update as Jokanovic arrives at Sheffield United

Sheffield United fans will be waiting to see just who Slavisa Jokanovic has working alongside him, with Javier Pereira one man who could be in the mix.

Pereira was one of the names mentioned in the initial interview process before United named Jokanovic. The Spaniard has close links to the new Blades boss, having served as his assistant at Fulham and Watford.

The 55-year-old has been touted as someone who could follow Jokanovic to Shirecliffe this week. There has been no official mention, and Fulham are also said to have considered Pereira to replace Scott Parker.

But in an intriguing social media update last night, Pereira suggested his next job will be in England. Taking to Twitter, the experienced coach told everyone that he is now free to work in England.

7 Players Who Had A Euros To Forget

Whether that be with United, Fulham, or another club, remains to be seen.

However, it’s clear that Pereira is planning his next move on British soil.

Pereira or Tindall?

There’s no official word on Tindall yet. The assumption is that he’ll leave United, given he only came in on a temporary contract to help Paul Heckingbottom out.

We’ll no more on that, we assume, in the coming days.

With Pereira, again, there’s nothing official. However, there has been talk that he’ll come in alongside Jokanovic again. Whether that’s something that does happen, remains to be seen.

Big summer

It’s a big summer for the Blades. Jokanovic is due to arrive this week to officially start his job in Sheffield. His appointment has brought an excitment to the fanbase. That excitement was needed, especially with how Chris Wilder’s tenure ended.

So much of our success was built not only with Wilder, but his backroom team including Alan Knill and Matt Prestridge. Jokanovic will need to follow a similar route.

Whether that sees Pereira arrive or not, remains to be seen.
