It’s time to go back on the road for Sheffield United this evening as Slavisa Jokanovic takes his inconsistent Blades side to the City Ground to meet Nottingham Forest.

Saturday’s late defeat against Blackpool has left a sour taste around Bramall Lane. Indeed, the players were booed off by some, as some sections of the United fanbase become frustrated with lacklustre performances. Tonight, then, is a chance to get it right once again.

As usual, Jokanovic faces a couple of posing questions in terms of who goes into his starting XI. The squad has the odd injury, while the rigours of playing Saturday/Tuesday may also come into effect.

We’ve got the latest news for Sheffield United ahead of tonight, here.

Blades v Forest: Team News

The Blades’ biggest concern is the injury to Ben Davies. The defender is expected to miss out at Forest, with Jokanovic confirming yesterday he doesn’t think he’ll be ready. Jack Robinson, Rhys Norrington-Davies, and Chris Basham will all be in contention.

On the right, George Baldock wasted ample opportunities to make the right pass against Saturday. Jayden Bogle, then, might get a chance tonight.

In midfield, Norwood and Fleck are likely to play again. Conor Hourihane is waiting for another chance, but his performance against Millwall has perhaps given Jokanovic the jitters. Adlene Guedioura could feature against his old club. But he hasn’t been around the squad in weeks.

In attack, Jokanovic must decide whether to go with Lys Mousset again. The Frenchman is fit but whether that means he is fit enough to start a third game in ten days, remains to be seen. Oli McBurnie and Billy Sharp are the two pushing hardest to challenge Moose. Iliman Ndiaye will play, as will Morgan Gibbs-White and former Forest man, Ben Osborn.

Sheffield United News Predicted XI

We fancy Chris Basham to come into the defence. He needs to be back involved, and his energy will help. In attack, McBurnie deserves another chance after his efforts at Barnsley. Finally, we think Bogle should be given a go. George Baldock is fine at times, but we are wasting chances down the right and a lot of the time it is through Baldock.

Here, then, is our predicted XI for this evening’s clash with Nottingham Forest.
