'Traore two years ago': Sheffield United fans discuss if Oli Burke and Callum Robinson swap was good business

In a busy summer for Sheffield United, one of the more eye-catching transfers was the swap deal involving Callum Robinson and Oliver Burke.

The Blades opted to move Robinson on despite spending around £7m on him the summer before. Burke, meanwhile, had been out on loan in Spain after failing to make a big impression with West Brom.

At the time, Chris Wilder confirmed the deal to bring Burke had seen United bring a ‘few quid’ into the club, while they also got their hands on a player who had been compared to Gareth Bale previously.

In fairness, both players have hardly pulled up any trees this term. Robinson has scored just the two PL goals for the Baggies. Burke, meanwhile, has just the one league goal to his name thanks to a deflected effort at Old Trafford.

Burke’s impact at United can be assessed two ways. On one hand, he is the direct and pacey player we lack. Someone who can make an impact and worry defenders.

On the other hand, he often shows a real lack of composure, seems to forget the ball a lot, and for a striker, has a dismal return thus far in his United career.

So when we posed the question on social media as to who got the better deal out of the Burke and Robinson swap, it’s safe to say Blades fans had mixed views.

Here, then, is a look at what some Sheffield United supporters had to say in relation to Burke’s impact at Bramall Lane.
