Sheffield United are apparently worried about the future of Daniel Jebbison and fear he could walk away for nothing in the summer.
Jebbison is one of a number of players out of contract in the summer of 2024. It’s unclear as of now if he has a year extension clause in his current deal either.
And according to Alan Nixon, United now fear that Jebbison will walk away from contract talks and sign for a new club for free.
Sheffield United have Daniel Jebbison contract worry
Writing about Jebbison on his Patreon, Nixon claims that Jebbison could sign for a new club as early as January thanks to the current rules.

If Jebbison decides to do that, then United would get a nominal fee for their young striker. If Jebbison decides to sign for another English club, then the Blades would be entitled to more cash.
Jebbison has been out of action this season thanks to an unknown medical problem. He was pictured back in the Blades gym on the latest Inside Training video, but Nixon claims he won’t return until November.
With Cameron Archer and Benie Traore signed, as well as Will Osula getting minutes this term, Jebbison is now down the pecking order a tad.
Sheffield United News View: A big shame despite not quite kicking on
There’s been different reasons really why Jebbison has never kicked on at Bramall Lane. A couple of injury setbacks haven’t helped and to be fair to him, he’d probably have played this season if he’d not been ruled out.
The big shame with losing Jebbison for nothing is that we have previously rejected offers for him. It would be a blow to the club, who have developed him through the academy.
In an ideal world, he signs a new contract and kicks on. But on the flip side, you couldn’t really blame him if he does seek a new challenge either.
