Sheffield United are trying to progress contract talks with Daniel Jebbison as they look to tie the youngster down to fresh terms.
Jebbison has missed this season with an unconfirmed health issue but has been back in training recently, at least doing bits inside the gym.
However, Jebbison is out of contract in the summer of 2024 and at the moment there is no sign of a new contract being agreed, despite talks being opened.
Sheffield United open talks over new contract for Daniel Jebbison
According to Yorkshire Live, United have indeed started talks with Jebbison and his camp. It follows the big news that United have tied down Will Osula to a new deal earlier this week.
Jebbison was previously seen as being ahead of Osula but injury problems and now this illness have seen them switch places in the pecking order.

Still only 20, Jebbison enjoyed a good spell out on loan with Burton and started the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City last season at Wembley.
He is believed to be a priority for the club in terms of new deals. However, United will not allow him to leave for free and if no deal is penned by January, the Blades board could look to cash in.
Sheffield United News View: Time is ticking
The Blades are playing a risky game by allowing so many players to be into the final 12 months of their contracts.
With Jebbison, Yorkshire Live reports there is no 12 months extension option in United’s favour and with relegation looking like being almost certain, we could head into the Championship with a full squad rebuild being needed.
Right now, United have got to get players tied down. And while Jebbison is important in terms of an asset for the future, it would be nice to see more senior players like McBurnie, Baldock, Foderingham and others given new deals as well.
Hopefully, Jebbo sees the progress the club has made and how he can be a key player in the next few seasons.
But with clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham being keen, the England youth international might well look elsewhere.
