Sheffield United may have got away with one, Emmanuel Dennis could be a bad egg

It seems Sheffield United might got away with one by missing out on Club Brugge striker, Emmanuel Dennis.

That’s if his recent actions for the Belgian outfit are anything to go by, with Dennis apparently spitting his dummy well and truly out of the pram.

United were linked with an £18m move for Dennis during the summer window, although nothing ever really progressed beyond media speculation.

However, it seems that might have worked out best for the Blades and Chris Wilder, with Dennis producing some bizarre behaviour this week to rule himself out of European action for Brugge.

Childish behaviour

HLN reports that Dennis has been dropped by boss Philippe Clement after not taking kindly to the club’s Covid-19 rules. Or, in more simple terms, he got the face on at having to sit in a different seat on the bus.

It brings a smile to the face to even think about Chris Wilder trying to deal with a situation like that. A swift ‘you ‘avin a laugh, mate’ springs to mind.

To rub salt into the wound, Dennis has only scored once all season. He’s failed to register in the league, with just a single Champions League goal to his name.

His latest bout of bizarre behaviour – there’re are more instances documented by HLN here – will do him no favours going forward you’d think!
