Sheffield United fans are already looking towards Saturday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers with an element of ‘you know what’s coming’, after Rovers were hammered 7-0 by Fulham last night.
Blackburn were brutally put to the sword by Fulham at Ewood Park as Marco Silva’s men flexed their attacking muscles. In fairness to Rovers, they did go down to ten men early on and paid the ultimate price.
Now, it’s Sheffield United’s turn to travel to Lancashire this weekend. The Blades will be looking to put right a number of poor performances of late, the latest a mediocre display at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night.
However, despite the 7-0 hammering for Blackburn, Blades fans have been on Twitter suggesting that they already know what the weekend is going to bring. Some feel there is a sense of inevitability about Saturday’s result.

In fairness, it’s easy to see why Sheffield United supporters are in this mindset. Time and again this season the Blades have thrown games away when being expected to win. And with Rovers needing to show their fans something this weekend, United could pay the price.
Here, then, is what some Sheffield United fans have had to say on Twitter ahead of Blackburn this weekend.
After getting annihilated 7-0 tonight, it would be the most Sheffield United to lose to Blackburn at the weekend😐
