For Sheffield United and Rhian Brewster, it was another frustrating night at the office as the Blades once again threw away a lead, this time at Nottingham Forest.
Morgan Gibbs-White had given the Blades the lead at the City Ground. The Wolves loanee pounced after good work from Billy Sharp. But once again, defensive frailties cost United, as Lewis Grabban prodded past Robin Olsen less than five minutes later.
For the aforementioned Brewster, it proved another frustrating night for the young striker. Played out on the right, the ex-Liverpool man did work hard. But he fluffed his lines on a couple of occasions, including a glorious chance late on to win the game.
After the game, manager Slavisa Jokanovic offered some of this thoughts on Brewster. The Blades boss issued a conflicting statement of sorts, by admitting Brewster is not a winger, but also saying he believes he can be useful at the same time.

“Rhian Brewster is not a wide player. Rhian Brewster is a striker and we try to adapt him, working with him. Today he played well. He showed quality and is working really hard,” Jokanovic commented.
It’s not the first time Jokanovic has confused Blades fans. Some of the substitutions and selection decisions have, at times, left people wondering what is going on.
And certainly, on this occasion, United fans seem less than impressed with what Jokanovic has said on Brewster.
Here, then, is what some Blades fans had to say on Twitter in response to the comments from Jokanovic on Rhian Brewster.
I mean, I’m not expert but maybe if we stop adapting him and play him as a striker, he might have a chance at showing his price tag? 🤷🏻♂️

Not sure what you trying to say Slavia? He is a striker. A striker job is to score goals. Look at Billy Sharp. Should take inspiration from him!

Why do we play him as a wide player then 🙈
— Lee Burgon (@L8URG) November 3, 2021
Give him a run in the side, minimum 6 starts and see how we does. We’re going nowhere this season so if he’s not for us then move him on but please give a proper opportunity!!

So why didn’t he move him central when illiman came on for moose ? We played with no striker for 15 mins until Billy came on
