Sheffield United face a second crucial home clash in four days as high-flying Bournemouth come to Bramall Lane this afternoon.
The Blades will be looking for revenge on the Cherries for the loss earlier in the season. After taking the lead that day, a harsh penalty ensured Bournemouth took all three points in the end while Slavisa Jokanovic was in charge. However, things are different now, and United are unbeaten at home since October.
For Paul Heckingbottom, team selection should be relatively easy for once. No big injuries came off the back of QPR, and none of his long-termers are close to being back either.

As mentioned, long-term injury victims like Jayden Bogle and Rhian Brewster are nowhere near. However, both Billy Sharp and Chris Basham could be back before the season ends, with Sharp even having a chance for today by Heckingbottom’s own admission. Whether or not he puts the skipper on the bench at least, remains to be seen.
At the back, Filip Uremovic is likely to return after going off with a bout of cramp. Ben Davies and Jack Robinson will battle it out for the left-side slot, while Enda Stevens will more than likely retain his place after doing well against QPR.
Up top, Oli McBurnie should be ok. The big striker played well against the R’s before tiring because of sickness. He’ll be desperate for a goal once again.
Predicted XI v Bournemouth
For one of the first times all season, we can’t see Heckingbottom really making a change here. The only inclusion of note could be that of Sharp off the bench. However, the manager is keen to not rush him back, although Sharp does have a fine record against the Cherries recently.
On the whole, though, we think the same XI will be sent out by ‘Hecky’ in the hope of taking a huge three points.
Here, then, is our predicted XI for Sheffield United against Bournemouth today.
