Sheffield United are reportedly lining up alternatives should a potential deal for Sander Berge fall through.
The Blades are being heavily linked with a move for Berge in this window. Latest reports emerging yesterday suggested United could be willing to pay up to £27m to secure his services.

However, with time running out in the transfer window, Chris Wilder has made other arrangements if needed.
According to a report from the Sheffield Star, the Blades are eyeing both Mady Camara and Florian Grillistch.

Both players play in midfield, similar to Berge. Camara, who plays for Olympiakos, was indeed linked with a move to Bramall Lane earlier in the window. We covered his credentials, here.

Grillitsch, on the other hand, is a new name to enter the fray. A 24-year-old midfielder who plays for Hoffenheim, Grillitsch has been capped over 10 times by Austria already.
The report claims Chris Wilder’s scouting team have been impressed with the Austrian.
It is believed the Blades will lodge bids for the one of or both, the midfielders if Genk begins to play hardball over Berge. The Belgians could well hope fresh interest emerges for the Norwegian in order to start a bidding war.
Wilder continues to surprise
While the signings of the likes of Jack Rodwell and Jack Robinson were ‘typical’ Wilder signings, the latest names linked are from that.
The Blades have a predominantly British squad. Lys Mousset being the standout from the crowd when it comes to nationalities in the United ranks.

As we’ve mentioned previously, these new names are evidence of United’s growing reach in the game. Their performances this season have caught the eye.
And with that comes the appeal to players to want to join the club.
It’s an exciting time to be a Blades fans. The signing of Grillitsch, Camara, or Berge, would no doubt go down a treat with most supporters.
