Sheffield United have a number of issues with contracts coming up, with more than ten players set to have deals expire in the summer.
The Blades have let a host of first-team and younger players go into the final year of their deals, something which is apparently by design, according to the owner.
However, there are hopes that some contracts can be sorted soon and Yorkshire Live has claimed a trio of first-teamers are top of the list.
Sheffield United want to tie three key players down to new contracts
Writing on the situation for Yorkshire Live, respected local journalist Nathan Hemmingham has confirmed that talks are underway with Daniel Jebbison over a new deal.
However, beyond Jebbison, United also have three other priorities for new contracts in the form of Oli McBurnie, Wes Foderingham, and Jayden Bogle.
McBurnie has been a key player for the last 18 months now and is widely seen as one of the leaders in the group. Indeed, there have been calls for the big striker to be captain.

Foderingham, meanwhile, is the established number one and has made a good start to life in the Premier League despite the goals against column looking grim.
And when it comes to Bogle, at just 23, United see him as a key player for both now and the future. Bogle signed for United along with Max Lowe when Chris Wilder was in charge.
Sheffield United News View: Crucial months ahead
If the idea of using the Premier League money is to steady the ship and sort the finances of the club out, then getting players tied to new deals has to be a part of that too.
We have effectively just spent the money we brought in from Sander Berge and Iliman Ndiaye leaving, plus a little bit more. And having cleared the debts in terms of transfer payments, United should now have some spare to re-invest in the current squad.
McBurnie and Bogle are both players who have to be given new deals. We’ve spent money on both and developed them further, so keeping them is key.
As for Foderingham, it would be a reward for him given how good he’s been. Getting those three tied down, in addition to Will Osula and then maybe Jebbison, would set the squad up nicely for next season, regardless of the division.
