Report: Manchester United and Chelsea among clubs keen on Daniel Jebbison

Sheffield United could already have a battle on their hands to keep hold of Daniel Jebbison, according to a report from 90Min.com today.

It is claimed that a number of clubs, including Manchester United, Everton, Chelsea, and Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Jebbison.

Other teams, including Bayern Munich are also said to be keen on the 17-year-old, who made an impressive first appearance last week.

Jebbison is one of a number of young Sheffield United players breaking through at the moment. Paul Heckingbottom, who knows them well from his links to the under-23 set up, has included the likes of Jebbison, Iliman Ndiaye, and Zak Brunt in squads since he took over.

Striker Jebbison caught the eye for United last time out. Despite a miserable performance against Crystal Palace, the teenager was one shining light.

Heckingbottom has already said a number of youngsters could be included for the trip to Everton tomorrow. Jebbison, you would think, will be among those names.

European giants wanting Daniel Jebbison not surprising but a long way to go yet

While this report names a number of clubs, it’s not really surprising even though Jebbison has only made the one appearance.

All the best clubs in Europe have scouts around the world looking at the best up and coming talent. United are not exempt from that field of view, so Jebbison will have been noted by other clubs.

Anyone scoring goals in the under-23s and 18s is going to catch the eye. The good thing for United is we can demand good money. We are no longer in a position where we’d need to sell for peanuts. So if someone does come knocking for Daniel Jebbison, then we can ask for a nice chunk of change.
