With January just around the corner, it seems that Sheffield United manager Slavisa Jokanovic won’t be getting his hands on Manchester United winger, Amad Diallo.
Diallo is thought to be a target for Jokanovic and United after featuring heavily on the Blades’ wishlist in the summer. However, an injury put an end to any hopes United or Diallo had of sealing that summer switch.
But the former Atalanta man is now back in full training. It leaves Old Trafford officials with a decision to make. The Blades and others still keen on the winger.
However, according to the Daily Star, Diallo’s future could already be decided. They report how Diallo is set to sign for Feyenoord on loan, with an 18-month deal apparently close to being agreed.

Targets
Diallo was signed for more than £30m by Manchester United. He initially made an immediate impact, scoring in the Europa League against AC Milan and impressing at Premier League 2 level.
Along with Barcelona winger Alex Collado, Diallo is thought to be among a number of players Slavisa Jokanovic wants to play in wide areas. The Blades boss has made his desire for new wingers no secret. He is also said to want a defensive midfielder as well.
January is set to be a real test for United’s board and Jokanovic. The Serbian will expect to be backed. But unless results improve between now and then, Jokanovic might not even end up making it to the transfer window.
Realistic
It’s little surprise to see Diallo making a move to a big European side. And you can’t blame him either. Especially if the choice is Bramall Lane or Feyenoord.
With the Blades now out of the Premier League and struggling in the Championship, attracting players like Diallo is always going to be a tough ask. Realistically, the Blades probably need to be looking a bit lower down the ladder.
Of course, it’s great to be in the mix for such players. But we saw in the summer how this can lead to waiting right up until the last minute before any signings are made. As we know, there is more than problem when it comes to this strategy.
