Sheffield United midfielder Oliver Norwood has been talking about all things Blades in a recent interview with SUTV.
Norwood, who is now United’s record Premier League appearance maker, delved into a number of topics around the club and the new season. One of which, was the club’s new signings.
And according to Norwood, despite playing in a similar position, he was actually really happy that Paul Heckingbottom moved to sign Gustavo Hamer.

“I was actually delighted when we signed Gus because I’ve always said how good of a player he is. I really enjoyed playing against him when he was at Coventry,” Norwood said.
“Technically he’s really good. Physically, he gets around the pitch, bit of nastiness about him as well which is good but as you get to know him, you know.”
Hamer has already scored his first United goal with a stunner at Nottingham Forest.
He is expected to start when United face Tottenham today.
Sheffield United News View: One of the signings of the summer
Looking back on things now, selling Sander Berge and replacing him with Hamer looks like a masterstroke.
Not only do we have a player who offers more of a dynamic attacking threat, but we also have a player tied down to a long-term contract who is already proven in the Championship if we do go down.
Hamer looks a quality addition and of all the summer signings, he’s arguably been the best so far.
Certainly, there is more to come from Hamer and after his goal at Forest, we all know he has the quality to find the back of the net.
