Sheffield United could have another headache to deal with this weekend as Liverpool could have Diogo Jota back in their matchday squad.
It was reported earlier in the week that Jota was indeed looking to get back into some form of training this week. However, it was expected the Portuguese winger would see the trip to Bramall Lane this weekend come just too soon to be selected.
But training pictures today released by Liverpool show Jota is indeed back in full training. It is a big hint that the former Wolves man could at least make the squad for the clash with the Blades.
Those pictures, coupled with respected Liverpool site Empire of the Kop claiming Jota could well be included at Bramall Lane, will make grim viewing for Sheffield United fans.
United are already expected name a makeshift defence, with all three of Jack O’Connell, John Egan, and Chris Basham injured. Jota’s return, then, could mean a tricky night of action for the likes of Kean Bryan, Phil Jagielka, and Ethan Ampadu.
