Sheffield United won’t be making a move for Aston Villa striker, Keinan Davis, despite rumours doing the rounds on forums and social media lately.
The big striker was key for Nottingham Forest last season as he helped the Reds win promotion. Indeed, he was seen as a thorn in the side of United, with many believing Davis caused as many problems as anyone for the Blades defence last term.
However, as things stand, Davis is not one of the players Sheffield United are looking to sign. That’s according to Yorkshire Live’s Nathan Hemmingham anyway, who answered a question on Davis in his very latest Q&A piece this afternoon on all things Sheffield United.

Responding to the question from a supporter, Hemmingham simply replied ‘I don’t believe so, no’, when it came to the Aston Villa man.
Of course, that doesn’t mean United won’t end up moving for a player like Davis. Paul Heckingbottom is looking to bring in Reda Khadra from Brighton but is also said to be pursuing another player as well. And with a late loan from a Premier League club not ruled out, Davis might still be one of the players available come the end of August.

But for now, at least, Keinan Davis won’t be moving to Bramall Lane.
Our View: Davis A Viable Option If McBurnie Struggles
A forward isn’t exactly a massive priority for United. We have Iliman Ndiaye, Rhian Brewster, Billy Sharp, and Oli McBurnie on the books, as well as Will Osula and Daniel Jebbison.
However, there are question marks over Osula and Jebbison’s match readiness, while McBurnie remains injured and hasn’t exactly lit things up in his time at the club.
With that in mind, should Davis be available as the window draws to a close and McBurnie is still struggling, he really is a player Heckingbottom should have eyes on.
