Sheffield United defender, Chris Basham, has insisted that the club will not fear Man City or Liverpool this month.
The Blades travel to the title-contending duo within three days of each other. Both fixtures will, no doubt, be the toughest on the Premier League calendar all season for United.

Having lost just 1-0, thanks to a Dean Henderson error, at Bramall Lane earlier in the campaign, Chris Wilder will insist his troops can go and cause an upset.
And those sentiments seem to be echoed by defensive stalwart, Chris Basham.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s trip to Brighton, Basham acknowledged the tough fixtures that lie ahead but insisted that the Blades can succeed.
MORE UNITED STORIES
“Our Christmas games are really difficult but the gaffer won’t let us just go out and enjoy them”, Basham said (Sheffield Star).
“He’ll want us to keep our run going and take points. There’s no reason why we can’t do that either. Everyone’s confident. Everyone’s enjoying it. Long may it continue”.
The Blades have yet to lose away from home this season. Indeed, their only loss in 2019 away from Bramall Lane came at Swansea back in January. Coincidentally, it was this weekend’s opposition manager, Graham Potter, who oversaw United’s downfall that day.
Basham every right to be confident in his team
If the Blades can’t be confident now, then when will they ever be?
The club is truly riding the crest of the biggest wave it’s ever had. Excellent performances, few goals conceded, and a hardened and passionate following both home and away have got Sheffield United back on the footballing map.

The performance against Liverpool earlier in the season warranted a result of sorts. Man City, on the other hand, are yet to face the Blades. However, even Pep Guardiola will be well aware his side can’t afford to switch off against Wilder’s men.
Chris Basham epitomises all that is good about Sheffield United and if Liverpool or City do take their eye off the ball, then Basham and his teammates will pounce.
