Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has confirmed that the Blues will be without USA international, Christian Pulisic, for this weekend’s clash with the Blades.
Pulisic had only recently returned from injury but has suffered a further setback and will not be involved at all this weekend after only taking part in light training over the past seven days.

The news is another boost for Chris Wilder and his Sheffield United team. The Blades are in search of their first win of the season, and Pulisic being out adds further misery for their opponents, who are already without Kai Havertz.
Havertz is to miss the tie thanks to a positive Covid-19 test. Pulisic, meanwhile, has a hamstring injury, as confirmed by Lampard via West London Sport today.

It means Chelsea could have to change the way they line-up in attacking areas. However, the Blues have a depth of talent like few others in the league at the top of the pitch.
Despite Havertz and Pulisic being out, the likes of Werner, Mount, Abraham, Giroud, Ziyech, and Hudson-Odoi will all be pushing for starting berths.
A boost…but no easy ride for United
Let’s just be clear on this. It is a bonus that Havertz and Pulisic are out but it by no indicates that a result is suddenly on the cards for United.

Chelsea’s squad is stunning in the attacking sense at least. Most of their players going forward would get into the majority of Premier League squads.
But, just like when you see the team on the school yard is missing the ‘Big Lad’ through sickness, you can’t help but feel a little bit of relif on this one.
