There is no doubt that the big talking point among Sheffield United fans this morning is the stunning winning goal from Jayden Bogle at Birmingham City last night.
Bogle burst into the 18-yard box to finish off a fine move in the 74th minute to ensure a fine comeback win for the Blades on a tough night in the Midlands. The finish, which came after a number of excellent one and two touch passes, epitomised all the good things about this Sheffield United team of late.
For manager Paul Heckingbottom, it was a goal which showed a clear intent and execution of things which are clearly worked on in training. And that, according to Blades legend Brian Deane, will have pleased the United boss the most.
“Just on that goal, as a team goal it’s brilliant and as an individual it’s a great goal. But you know if you’re the manager of a team and you’re producing football where your team scores a goal like that, it’s something that you’re bursting with pride with,” Deane said on SUTV Live.

“It’s something that you can almost take a little bit of ownership with, you know? It was a fantastic goal.”
The strike was Bogle’s third of the season so far. Once again, he showed Heckingbottom just why he is the first-choice ahead of George Baldock as things stand.
Our View: Deane Makes A Great Point On Heckingbottom
This Paul Heckingbottom team is like night and day from the offerings we were served up by Slavisa Jokanovic earlier in the season. Gone are the lacklustre, slow, and painstaking displays. Instead, we have a team full of intent, quality, and aggression.
Clearly, as Deane points out, there is a way Heckingbottom and his coaching team want things done. In fact, both goals were evidence of a team who are training and working hard at Shirecliffe.
Bogle’s finish was one of the goals of the season. And Deane is right, Heckingbottom will have been delighted to see his hard work come to fruition on the pitch.
