It was yet another win for Paul Heckingbottom’s Sheffield United last night as the Blades came from behind to see off Birmingham City among a strange atmosphere at St Andrews.
Blues fans made things difficult all evening with their planned protest. However, it didn’t end up distracting United too much, who fought back from Lyle Taylor’s opener to seal another big three points. Goals from the effervescent Billy Sharp and a stunning winner from Jayden Bogle ensured the travelling Blades fans went home delighted.
And while many praised the skipper for yet another goal, it was hard to ignore the second from Bogle, which was, in our opinion, one of the goals of the season. A number of smart passes and movements led to Bogle getting in behind, before a wonderful touch and finish put United 2-1 up.
Indeed, over on Instagram, Blades loan star Morgan Gibbs-White was watching on and clearly delighted with that he saw from his teammate. The Wolves man taking to Instagram to laud the goal from Bogle.

The finish was Bogle’s third of the season for United. Paul Heckingbottom spoke after the game to how the young wing-back now has the shirt to lose. And really, after seeing George Baldock dominate the position for so long, it’s a testament to Bogle’s improvement.
Our View: Bogle Proving Chris Wilder’s Best Ever Signing
For all the arguments about what Wilder spent the club’s money on during his tenure, there can be no arguing that the addition of Bogle was a smart move.
We saw glimpses in the Premier League and the attacking side of his game was never missing. Defensively, some have asked questions, but even that has improved this season. Last night, he epitomised everything it means to be a quality wing-back at any level.
Bogle’s finish was one of a seasoned striker. The touch to set it up was magnificent, and he deserves huge credit.
Hopefully, the youngster can continue his fine form into the coming weeks as the Blades hunt down a playoff spot.
