Sheffield United could have to wait until nearer the January transfer window opens to find out if another move for Manchester United winger, Amad Diallo, is on the cards.
Diallo has been linked with the Blades since the summer. Reports from that period suggested that United and Crystal Palace were keen. However, by the end of the summer, Diallo was almost a Feyenoord player before injury ruined any prospect of a loan move.
Blades boss Slavisa Jokanovic is apparently desperate to add another winger to the ranks in January. At the moment, he is using Morgan Gibbs-White and Ben Osborn. Others, when they feature, are being almost shoehorned into the wide roles.
However, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was speaking about Diallo ahead of last night’s Champions League games. And as things stand, it looks like the Blades might have to patient.

What Solskjaer Said About Amad Diallo
Amad Diallo missed out on the chance to feature against his former club, Atalanta, last night for United. However, he is back from injury, and Solskjaer confirmed that those at Old Trafford have a decision to make on the 19-year-old.
“Amad trained his first session with the team on Friday before Leicester and he is still continuing his rehab. Getting more and more training sessions with the full team,” Solskjaer told the MEN.
“He’ll probably play in 23s very soon when he’s ready for that and I’ve got to say his development has been exactly what we want from him. We have to make a decision before Christmas what he’s going to do. Or if the next step is for him to play somewhere else and come back in the summer. That’s a decision for later but he’s developing very very nicely, but this injury was bad timing, as every injury is.”
On paper, Diallo appears the perfect signing for the Blades. Quick, powerful, with an eye for goal and a natural winger. But competition will be high for him. The club, then, needs to act quickly to ensure they know exactly where they stand come January.
