Sheffield United fans have been having their say all week on the rumours linking Sander Berge with a move to Aston Villa.
It has been widely reported this week that Berge could well be a target for Villa when Sheffield United drop into the Championship.
The Norwegian midfielder is currently out with an injury. However, his performances before that and general all-round ability mean he’s going to be a man in-demand this summer.
Berge was a £22m signing for United back in the January window of 2020.
Immediately something of a cult hero, Berge really looked like he was kicking on this season before injury completely curtailed his progress.
Blades fans, then, have been discussing the potential for Berge to leave this summer on Twitter. And the consensus is that, while there’s an acceptance he might well go, United need to get their money back and more for the Scandanavian giant.
Here, then, is a look at what some Sheffield United fans had to say to Aston Villa’s reported interest in Sander Berge.
45mill he’s theirs and we will chuck moose in for free

I’d like to see him repay the faith in us bringing him over here and paying for him to sit on the bench injured during a season we desperately needed him, but I personally can’t see it, we have always been a selling club and probably won’t stop here

Keep him till January, Think a few players owe us 6 months . Majority of us have stuck by them this season would be nice if they showed a bit of loyalty if only for 6 months .

If we can get our money back then yes! I can’t imagine him being up for a Tuesday night away trip to Luton in December some how and who could blame him.
