Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is once again in the headlines today. This time, though, it’s for all the right reasons.

The Blades stopper has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award after keeping two clean-sheets through October.

Henderson enjoyed shut-outs at home to Arsenal and away at Watford. His only goal conceded was in the away trip to West Ham last weekend.

It marks a stark turnaround for Henderson. The goalkeeper was criticised openly by his manager, Chris Wilder, after allowing one to slip through his grasp in the home loss to Liverpool.

However, just like he did last season after his mistake at Aston Villa, Henderson has bounced back admirably.

The England under-21 star has always been favourite of Blades fans. This latest nomination is just the newest excuse for United fans to sing his praises.

There was, then, plenty of Blades fans on Twitter who were quick to praise their number one…

Even his parent club were getting in the act. Manchester United were quick to congratulate the youngster…

Some Blades fans made it crystal clear they were voting for him too…

A deserved nomination

Not many players can bounce back from scathing comments from their manager. Once again, however, Henderson has shown he can.

Despite the blip against Liverpool, Henderson has been excellent for United. Big saves at Watford, including a couple of one on ones showed his class. A flying save in the top corner at West Ham showed his athleticism.

England manager Gareth Southgate is already well aware of his talents too, having called up the stopper for the last round of European Championship qualifiers.

The sky is the limit for Henderson really. Whether a permanent move to Bramall Lane materialises come the end of this loan spell, remains to be seen.

Dean Henderson will probably go down as a United legend, regardless. Fans can cast their vote for Henderson by clicking, here.
