It was a first win of the Championship season for Slavisa Jokanovic’s men, and in the end, 6-2 wasn’t even as bad it could have been for The Posh.
A dream debut and a double from Iliman Ndiaye was the headline grabber, while Ben Osborn also scored twice. Morgan Gibbs-White got a debut goal for himself, while John Fleck marked an improved performance with a strike of his own.
Indeed, but for a Jack Robinson mistake, it was a pretty faultless performance from United in front of the Blades faithful.
But while Gibbs-White, Ndiaye, and others might have grabbed the headlines, it was the performance of skipper Billy Sharp that caught the eye of a lot of United fans. The experienced striker assisted three times, and was firmly involved in everything good that the Blades did.

Twitter, then, was awash with comments and praise for Sharp. So while others might have emerged from the shadows today, it was the Blades legend who proved he still has plenty to offer at this level.
Sensational. Billy Sharp assists goals. Dreamland. #sufc

Well that was absolutely bloody brilliant and I really missed us doing this whole “goals” thing. Ndiaye and Gibbs-White = HELLO, but how about that man Billy Sharp. Unreal.
