Sheffield United are on the hunt for a new striker in the January transfer window.
The Sun reports that Jermain Defoe is on their wishlist having struggled for game time at Bournemouth this season.
Blades boss Chris Wilder has had success bringing in Premier League players on loan. So who else could be available from the top tier on a temporary deal?
Potential Premier League loanees
Leo Bonatini
There were doubts about whether Wolverhampton Wanderers would sign Bonatini on a permanent contract this summer.
In the end they activated the agreement to land the Brazilian from Al-Hilal, but it may have been due to a lack of options upfront.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Bonatini has started just one league game this season. Arguably he isn’t cut out for the Premier League, but 12 goals last term suggests the Championship may be his level.

Aboubakar Kamara
Another forward who has gone up with a promoted side but is also down the pecking order at Fulham following the signing of Aleksandar Mitrovic.
When given a rare opportunity Kamara has been pushed out to the wing, rather than through the middle. As a number nine the Frenchman scored seven league goals in 30 games in 2017/18.
Still only 23 there is a chance Kamara could still make it in the English top tier, but maybe a loan in the Championship could help him get there.
Stefano Okaka
Finally, something of a journeyman attacker now but then Wilder has already worked wonders with a similar sort of player in Leon Clarke.
Okaka has played for both Fulham and now Watford in England, but has also featured for eight other clubs in a varied career.
An Italy international, the 29-year-old has never really fulfilled his potential yet has also never featured in the Championship. Perhaps that could be the platform for Okaka to shine?
