Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised his team for keeping the Bramall Lane atmosphere down during his team’s win last last.
Liverpool needed a very late second goal to seal the result against a resilient Blades side. In the end, United fell short in terms of quality but there was plenty to build on.

Klopp has his say on Sheffield United crowd v Liverpool
For Liverpool, it was another big three points for them and their manager, Jurgen Klopp, was understandably delighted with what he saw.
In particular, Klopp was delighted to see his team keep the excited Bramall Lane crowd down a bit.
“I think when it got exciting for them it was because our fault giving the ball away. Joe first half, Ibou second half. Besides that, we really concentrated and were really focussed and didn’t really let the atmosphere happen. I think everyone tonight was ready to go for it and we calmed that down and it’s super important,” Klopp said.
Bramall Lane key for the rest of the season
There was a feeling in the air last night that the club had a bit of a buzz back about it. That was always going to happen with Wilder back in the dugout and it bodes well for the Xmas period.
Klopp, though, does have a point on the atmosphere. Every time it seemed to be building a touch Liverpool seemed to either take the sting out or, like Van Dijk, score to silence things.
Had the game been 0-0 at half-time then things might have been a tad different. As it could have been had McAtee or Archer taken a chance.
Bramall Lane was always massive when Wilder was in charge before. If we’re going to have any chance this season, then it’s going to be vital again.
Saturday against Brentford feels like a chance and if United put in a similar performance, then a win might well be on the cards.
