In a bizarre turn of events today in Sheffield and away from Chris Wilder’s press conference, Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has fuelled the fire between the Blades and the Owls.
Chansiri was speaking to fans openly today about a number of issues surrounding our neighbours in S6 and he hasn’t failed when it comes to giving Blades fans some ammunition.

Reported on the Sheffield Star’s live blog, Chansiri made the bold comment of almost accusing some fans of believing the club is bigger than it is.
“Sometimes you think too big about yourselves. Sheffield Wednesday, actually, is not that big”, the Owls owner said.

Now, given the ongoing banter and back and forth between the clubs, this was as big as an opening that some Sheffield United fans could have hoped for and it wasn’t long before Twitter was awash with Blades supporters mocking their nearest and dearest rivals.
It’s all in good jest, of course, but we couldn’t resist taking a look at what some Sheffield United fans had to say about Chansiri’s controversial – if not a bit brilliant – comments.
