Sander Berge says that Sheffield United teammate Dean Henderson is so good it leaves him “speechless.”
Berge joined the Blades in a club record £22m deal during the January transfer window and has started all four games in all competitions since his arrival at Bramall Lane.
Henderson has also started those matches as he continues to impress on loan. It is the goalkeeper’s second successive season with the South Yorkshire club.
Last term, Henderson played every minute of the Blades successful promotion campaign from the Championship. The Manchester United loanee also kept the most clean sheets in the division and was part of the joint best defence.
That form has carried on into 2019/20 during another temporary spell from Old Trafford. Henderson has been so good many are tipping him to be both the Red Devils and England number one before too long.

“I am not at all surprised that this is talked about,” Berge told VG. “From what I have seen, I certainly think he is England’s number one.”

Berge may only be 21-years-old, but he already has 22 caps for his country and has played in the Champions League.
It is therefore praise indeed when the Norway international offers such a strongly positive opinion about Henderson.
“He’s totally insane. I’ve never seen such a good keeper,” Berge continued. “He is almost a defence on his own at times, and you feel so much security in him.
“But people have to watch him in training. It is totally crazy. He saves shots from one metre. Sometimes I am completely speechless by how good he is. It’s like having two ‘keepers in goal with him. He’s totally raw.
“He’s so confident. He knows he is good and he exploits that too. He is exceptional.”
