It’s a long trip down to the capital for Sheffield United this evening as they take on table-topping Fulham after last weekend’s clash with QPR was postponed.
The game represents the biggest test yet for Paul Heckingbottom’s new-look Sheffield United side. Two wins against Bristol City and Cardiff have helped the new Blades boss get off to a good start. However, Heckingbottom is more than aware that this Fulham side represents a different test altogether.
So far, the game is going ahead. A spate of Covid cases this weekend saw games cancelled around the country. That means Heckingbottom could have some big decisions with his squad once again.
Sheffield United Team News
Rhian Brewster will be missing for the Blades with a hamstring injury. However, there is good news on that front, with Heckingbottom confirming that the striker is back in light training.

John Fleck could return to the squad or starting XI. Heckingbottom confirmed the Scot is back from his recent heart scare. The problem for Fleck is that Conor Hourihane has been doing well, while Sander Berge is also pushing for a start.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Up top, Billy Sharp is likely to be picked to lead the line with David McGoldrick and Morgan Gibbs-White in support of him. However, Iliman Ndiaye could return to the squad. He was pictured in first-team training on the latest Inside Training clip on YouTube, while there was no sign of Oli McBurnie. Whether it was just coincidence, or the big striker does have a knock, remains to be seen.
Predicted Sheffield United XI at Fulham
The back five should pick itself. Jayden Bogle is likely to keep his place at right wing-back, even though George Baldock is available. Wes Foderingham will also continue in goal. The midfield will be Ollie Norwood plus one, with Hourihane likely to get the nod thanks to his performances of late.
As mentioned, we think it will be down to Sharp, Didzy, and MGW to provide the main attacking threat for United.
