It’s another home game for Sheffield United this afternoon as the Blades take on Derby County at Bramall Lane looking for another win.
The Blades are unbeaten in five in all competitions. Within that run came a win against the Rams, as United ran out 2-1 winners in the Carabao Cup last month.
Since then, Slavisa Jokanovic’s side have scored 11 league goals in four games, although they have shipped five as well. A spirited performance in midweek against Southampton also pleased the Blades boss.

Derby come to The Lane in a huge mess of the field. They also come with former Blades such as Ravel Morrison and Phil Jagielka. Both will hope to make a big impression on their return to S2.
Sheffield United v Derby County: Team News
Jokanovic faces a couple of selection decisions when it comes to the squad today. Enda Stevens returned in midweek and played the full 90. But whether he can go again after so long out, remains to be seen.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Up top, both Lys Mousset and David McGoldrick are back in training. But today could come soon, by Jokanovic’s own admission. That could mean Billy Sharp gets to go again, while Oli McBurnie did his chances no harm in midweek.
Iliman Ndiaye could also come back into the XI, although Rhian Brewster has been improving of late in a deeper role. In midfield, John Fleck will play with Oli Norwood and Conor Hourihane battling out to play alongside him.
It remains to be seen if Sander Berge will be fit.
Head to Head
It’s a complete level playing field when it comes to United and Derby. 48 wins apiece, with 18 draws in between, it’s safe to say things have been tight over the years.

Recent times suggest United hold the upper hand. The Blades have won six of the last ten, with the Rams only coming out on top twice. The last three meetings at Bramall Lane have all resulted in a United win, too.
Many point to the 3-1 win during the promotion season during 18/19 as a key moment for the Blades that year. David McGoldrick’s lobbed finish sending the Kop into a frenzy that day.
Our Predicted XI
United should have enough to beat Derby, on paper anyway. And while we don’t want to throw anything away, we feel there’s room for a few changes from the win at Hull at least.
Here, then, is our predicted XI for Sheffield United against Derby County today.
