It’s back to Bramall Lane for Sheffield United and Slavisa Jokanovic this weekend, as they welcome Blackpool to the Steel City.
Jokanovic will be looking for his team to make it back to back wins following last week’s victory at Barnsley. It’s a rare feat for this Blades side, who haven’t actually managed to win two on the bounce in the league all season.
Blackpool, who sit three points and three places above Sheffield United, will be confident coming to The Lane. They have little to lose, and have won five of their last seven games. Neil Critchley, then, will hope his team can pull of a big result in S2.
However, United’s case for taking all three points has been made easier with the news that Lys Mousset is fit to lead the line. The Frenchman hobbled off at Oakwell with a calf injury and it looked like being deja-vu for ‘Moose’.

But the injury is apparently nothing of note. And Slavisa Jokanovic has confirmed Mousset is fit and ready for the weekend.
“He is working hard and trying to improve himself and we are here to help him get more time on the field. He’s had a good period behind of him and he’s in a positive mood. I hope this mood helps him grow up and be in a position to help us and play more games,” Jokanovic confirmed to Yorkshire Live.
Our View: Fully Fit Lys Mousset a Big Plus for Sheffield United
His record speaks for itself when he’s fit. Mousset ripped the Premier League apart for around three months. And when he’s played this season, he’s also been a massive threat.
He scored a crucial goal against Stoke City, then looked an absolute menace against Barnsley at times. His two goals, both different, showed different sides to the quality he brings to the table.
It’s become a saying that United fans say all too often. But if Sheffield United can keep Lys Mousset fit, then they have one of the league’s best strikers.
Making sure that thought becomes a reality, is the real challenge.
