Manchester United have always been a hotbed of talent in English football and the current squad is no different. It makes sense, then, that teams like Sheffield United keep a watchful eye on their players.
As we all know, the Blades are thought to hold an interest in their £37m winger, Amad Diallo. The tricky Ivorian is highly-rated at Old Trafford, and Slavisa Jokanovic put him on his list of targets during the summer.
However, while Diallo remains on the radar for United in the January window, interest from other European clubs such as Feyenoord, probably means Bramall Lane is an unlikely destination for Diallo.
But this is Manchester United we’re talking about. The Red Devils have a plethora of young talent coming through who could potentially do a job for the Blades.

One of those players, is teenager flyer, Anthony Elanga. And with Jokanovic wanting a new winger in January, the youngster could be perfect.
Loan Possible
While it’s easy to simply pluck a young player’s name out from a big club and suggest they’d be good for your club, Anthony Elanga is a player who is going places.
Just this week, Elanga scored his fifth goal in as many games for the Sweden under-21s. After the game, he spoke about his future, admitting a loan move might be possible.
“Everything is possible but right now I am in United so I focus on them. But anything is possible and I have to be ready if the club wants to lend me or wants me to stay,” United in Focus reported.
Elanga’s record at under-23s level for Man United is also similar. He’s hit three in three in the Premier League 2 this term. Further to that, Ole Solskjaer has also put him on the bench in the Champions League.
Perfect Fit
It’s no secret that Blades boss Jokanovic wants to bring in new fresh blood in the wide areas. And as United fans, we can all see why.
Morgan Gibbs-White has been outstanding on the right since joining. And in fairness, Ben Osborn has also played well on the left. But this team still lacks that player who is a box of tricks, can beat a man with ease, and create from wide areas.
In Anthony Elanga, United would be giving themselves that player. Indeed, he’s made an impression on Solskjaer at Old Trafford, too.
“The boy is electric, has energy and enthusiasm, he’s really enjoying himself. He’s done himself the world of good. We know he’s a good player, we know he’s a good lad,” Solskjaer said in the summer.
So, while Diallo might end up out of reach, Elanga could well be perfect for this Sheffield United side.
