According to a report from 90Min, Newcastle, West Brom, and Sheffield United are all in the mix to sign Daniel Sturridge.
The former England striker – 26 caps and 8 goals – is a free agent after last being seen with Trabzonspor in Turkey. However, he has since left and is yet to land a deal elsewhere despite his admirers.

West Brom could be an interesting option for Sturridge, given he had a spell with the Baggies previously. Newcastle, meanwhile, are in the market for a new forward after losing Callum Wilson for much of the remainder of the season.
However, Sheffield United would be the most surprising team to make a move for Sturridge. Chris Wilder had previously played down talk of a move for the ex-Liverpool ace, and it’s unlikely that stance has changed.
The Blades’ failure to land a signing in January, plus the boards apparent stance on new players, means Sturridge is unlikely to be rocking up at Bramall Lane any time soon.

Daniel Sturridge to Sheffield United – Not likely
As mentioned above, there can’t be much chance of United being in the mix for Sturridge given Wilder’s previous comments. And coupled with the lack of January activity, it makes it even more unlikely.
Further, United do actually have players in attacking positions so landing a player like Sturridge probably isn’t the priority.
Sturridge has been and probably is still a good player. But at the moment, he’s not someone Sheffield United are likely to truly in the mix to land.
