According to a report from TeamTalk, Sheffield United are among the clubs keen on Toulouse striker, Rhys Healey.
The Blades are said to be among a cluster of teams, including Norwich, Bournemouth, and Middelsbrough, to be keeping an eye on Healey’s exploits over in France’s Ligue 2.
Since signing from MK Dons in a deal worth around £1m last summer, Healey has fired in nine goals in just ten starts and is believed to be valued at around the £5m mark now by Toulouse.
Still just 26, Healey has ample time on his side to prove himself back on English shores after making the surprise move to France last year.
The Blades, likely to be relegated back to the Championship, will be keeping close tabs on a number of strikers heading into the summer.
Despite having the likes of Oli McBurnie and Rhian Brewster on the books, the likes of Lys Mousset face an uncertain future, while Billy Sharp turned 35 just a few weeks back.
Healey, then, could be an ideal signing at Championship level.
Sheffield United want Rhys Healey – He’s been compared to Jamie Vardy
Every Sheffield United fans favourite striker eh? But in all seriousness, if you’re getting compared to Vardy you’re doing something right.
That’s one of the claims made by French media though. And if he’s looking that good, then it could be worth a punt.
The Blades face an interesting summer as it is. And while we might not end up landing Healey, it’s good to see we are already being mentioned as being keen on a number of players already.
