Sheffield United have a number of players out on loan this season from the academy, with teenager defender Thomas Angell the latest to move.
Angell sealed a switch to Bradford Park Avenue as he looks to continue his development. The teenager follows a number of other Blades youngsters in doing the same this season. The likes of Will Osula, Femi Seriki, and more have all gone out this season looking to impress.
Of course, United are still giving youngsters a chance back in Sheffield too. This weekend saw the debut of Sai Sachdev, while Andre Brooks has also been in recent squads and Oliver Arblaster has had minutes.
And on a positive weekend overall for the academy, young Angell impressed enough on his BPA debut to be selected in the National League North team of the week.

Angell was part of the Bradford side which fought back to seal a first win of the season against Curzon Ashton. The teenager played 66 minutes before making way, but clearly impressed enough to catch the eye.
The youngster will now be looking to build on that performance keep things at the same level throughout his time in West Yorkshire. And with Paul Heckingbottom showing he’s willing to play you if you’re good enough, Angell will have be encouraged to keep performing.

We love to see the young players doing well and it’s nice to read about Tom Angell getting a good performance in on his debut.
United are certainly doing their best to bring through players the best way they can. And while we know all won’t go on to make it in the first-team at Bramall Lane, it’s still a positive to see so many developing and getting minutes.
Angell, then, will hope to keep getting minutes in Bradford and return to Shirecliffe a better player.
