The Blades are the only Premier League side understood to be in the race. Espanyol and newly promoted duo Osasuna and Granada are those thought to be keen from La Liga.
However, this does come just a year after Moron rejected a move to West Ham United. Mundo Deportivo reports that the Hammers were prepared to meet the Spaniard’s £22m release clause.
Yet Betis managed to negotiate a new contract with Moron that extended his stay until 2022. It also increased his release clause to £35.5m. That could rise to £52m depending on performances.
Moron later told Estadio Deportivo he was aware of West Ham’s interest, but chose to remain in Andalusia.

“It is true there were several clubs who contacted me regarding their interest and we had one firm proposal from them (West Ham),” the 25-year-old said.
“I did not want to throw away the opportunity I have here at Betis after moving through the youth system and playing for the reserve side. I let my agents know, I told my parents and friends and told them that my intention was to stay and continue here.”

Moron is still keen to remain with Betis, but the club is more open to an exit after an average season for the attacker.
The academy product scored eight goals in 45 games in all competitions in 2018/19. This was after bursting into their first team in January 2018 with seven strikes in just 15 league outings.
Prior to that Moron had been impressing in the Betis B team, netting 30 times in 64 appearances. He made the switch from boyhood side Marbella in 2015.
The Sheffield Star reports that at least one new striker is among the Blades’ transfer priorities this summer. However, they appear to be more keen on Championship stars they believe can make the step up to the Premier League.
That includes the likes of Brentford’s Neal Maupay and Oli McBurnie of Swansea City. Middlesbrough top scorer Britt Assombalonga and West Bromwich Albion ace Jay Rodriguez have also been linked.
