Sheffield United are keen on signing Everton defender Conor Coady this summer, with the England man facing an uncertain future.
Coady can be signed by Everton for £4.5m to make his move from Wolves a permanent one. But after another season of struggle, there is plenty of uncertainty on Merseyside around different players.
And according to The Daily Mail, the Blades are keeping a close eye on what happens with Coady over the summer.

Sheffield United keen on Conor Coady
According to The Mail, United are waiting in the wings to make a move for Coady if he doesn’t get kept on at Everton.
The England defender would then be available on a free transfer. However, it is caveated that United’s small budget could hinder a move for Coady.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Coady is likely to be on £50,000+ at Everton and the Blades must make some big decisions on players in the summer.
The likes of Sander Berge are the top earners at Bramall Lane. However, adding someone like Coady would require United to go above and beyond those figures.
Coady had a spell with United while the Blades were in League One. He was part of the squad that reached the FA Cup semi-final and has spoken fondly of the club in interviews since.
Sheffield United News View: Ideal signing if it can be done
We wrote about this not too long ago but we think Conor Coady is the ideal signing for United this summer.
If a deal makes sense, in terms of wages and the contract, then it’s a deal the club must pursue.
Coady brings international and Premier League experience to the table and would no doubt raise the standards in training and around Shirecliffe. Those players cannot be underestimated and it would be quite the coup for United.
