Sheffield United join Tottenham and Newcastle in wanting to sign Alex Scott

Sheffield United have joined a cluster of Premier League clubs including Tottenham, Newcastle and Everton in being keen on Bristol City’s Alex Scott.

Scott has emerged as one of the top talents in the Championship. A move to the Premier League beckons for the teenager. Bristol City are unlikely to threaten the playoff positions, meaning Scott’s future is likely to lie away from Ashton Gate.

And according to GiveMeSport, Sheffield United are wanting to go for Scott if they win promotion to the top flight.

GMS claims that ‘half the Premier League’, as well as United, Burnley and Middlesbrough, are all super keen on signing Scott. The Robins will demand around £25m to sell Scott if they are to consider a sale.

Why Chelsea FINALLY Turned A Corner.

Scott recently impressed against Manchester City in the FA Cup. Indeed, such was his impressive performance, Pep Guardiola lauded the youngster as being ‘unbelievable‘ on the night.

Of course, any hopes United have of signing Scott will rest purely on promotion. And even then, the interest from elsewhere could make it impossible.

Sheffield United News View: No chance the Blades sign| Alex Scott

United and their scouting team can be as interested as they want here but the reality is that there’s no chance of us signing Scott right now or in the summer.

There is so much interest in the midfielder and from top sides that United will simply be blown out of the water.

Of course, you never know in football and Scott could see Bramall Lane as a place where he’d play regularly and develop further. But realistically, this is a player United have minimal chance of landing.
