Sheffield United have won the race to sign Hacken forward Benie Traore, with the Blades set to seal a deal for the Ivorian.
Traore has emerged on United’s radar as they scour Europe to make best use of a low budget this summer.
And according to Alan Nixon, United have won the race to sign Traore after he held talks with Paul Heckingbottom.
Traore will sign a three-year deal with United, according to Nixon. The forward has rejected other offers, which came from the likes of Rangers, Celtic, and more.
The Blades will pay around £4m for the forward and terms are now being ironed out over how that will be paid.

Sheffield United to sign Benie Traore
The Blades are cracking on with their transfer business ahead of jetting out to Portugal this weekend for training.
It’s clear Heckingbottom wants some new faces in by then and will use the trip away to help them settle in and bond with the rest of the squad.
Traore is a player that’s been courted by many and at £4m, looks like being a snip for the Blades.
With Anis Slimane also set to sign, it looks like United are getting to work on the transfer front.
Traore has rattled in 15 goals in just 20 games over in Sweden this season.
Sheff U News View: Exciting times for fans
We are so used to signing players we know a lot about that it’s always great to see these players who could be hidden gems arrive.
For £4m, United look like they’re getting a player here. Like Slimane, Traore will come as a lower risk signing and the upside is massive.
Heckingbottom needed backing this summer and needed to work smartly. It looks like that is happening and Traore will bring a welcome boost to the forward line ahead of next season.
