Sheffield United are being credited with holding an interest in Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino ahead of the new Premier League season.
Patino is expected to be on the move again this summer after impressing on loan at Blackpool last season.
A loan deal is the most likely at this stage although a permanent move hasn’t been ruled out, with Patino keen to explore options to get him first-team football at a high level.

Sheffield United keen on Charlie Patino
The reports linking United stem from a report from the Arsenal blog account, Arsenal Informer.
Not a source that is wholly recognisable, Arsenal Informer have actually been spot on with a couple of transfer stories coming out of The Emirates this summer.
They claim that United have put Patino at the top of their list when it comes to new midfielders.
However, there is hefty competition, with Spanish giants Barcelona even getting a mention.
Patino is thought to be keen on staying in England if he can, though. The Gunners are open to selling the teenager, but will want a decent fee and admirable sell-on clause included in any deal.
Lauded as being an ‘outstanding‘ talent during his time with Blackpoo, Patino would relish the chance to step up to Premier League football.

Sheff U News View: Another gamble that could pay off
Charlie Patino ticks all the boxes Sheffield United are looking at this summer.
Young, hungry to prove a point, and with plenty of upside in terms of development, he is the type of player Paul Heckingbottom will love working with.
Of course, at this point we don’t know how reliable the information is and if Patino would even consider Bramall Lane.
But he is a player we have tipped to do well before on this website and if he is available, is someone United should definitely be considering.
