Sheffield United have announced the signing of Vinicius Souza this evening and could now look to ramp up further negotiations for other players.
The Blades have had a frantic few weeks and while they announced Souza today, they’ve also lost Sander Berge to Burnley.
United are believed to have pocketed around £15m for Berge and it’s now imperative that money is reinvested into the squad.

And according to FootballTransfers, United are considering a second bid for Southampton’s Will Smallbone. It comes after claims earlier today suggested a £7m offer from United had been rejected by the Saints.
However, with fresh cash in the bank, it seems Paul Heckingbottom is keen to press on and another bid for Smallbone looks imminent.
Southampton boss Russell Martin wants to keep the Ireland international. However, with just 12 months of his contract to run, there could be an opportunity for United to strike.
Sheffield United News View: Smallbone needs to be one of many
The loss of Berge and Ndiaye has set this United squad back some way. It now means we have four players who were regulars in the starting XI at the back end of last season out the door.
It’s now imperative United bring more players in. Souza is a start and it’s good to see we’re bidding for players like Will Smallbone.
But this is a deal that has to get done. And if it is, it needs to be one of many.
This Blades squad needs further quality and depth adding. Only then, can Paul Heckingbottom have a realistic chance of keeping this side in the Premier League.
