Sheffield United will lose two of their strikers this summer as both Oli McBurnie and Daniel Jebbison are set to walk away from the club.
Both strikers are out of contract and having failed to agree fresh terms with the Blades, will move on in the summer.
According to Alan Nixon, both McBurnie and Jebbison have failed to agree new contracts and are apparently hoping to get a fresh start elsewhere, with both hoping a Premier League move comes along.
Jebbison hasn’t featured all season with a mystery injury. The young striker burst onto the scene as a 17 year old in the Premier League under Chris Wilder’s first period in charge. However, he’s failed to kick on since then and has been side-lined all season.

McBurnie, meanwhile, played a key role in helping United to promotion last season. But this season has once again been riddled by injury and he was forced off just after the hour mark at Bournemouth yesterday.
McBurnie was one of Wilder’s first big signings after the initial promotion in 2019 but remains a divisive figure among fans.
Oli McBurnie should stay but Jebbison remains a mystery
Quite where both these players think they’re getting a move to in the Premier League is a bit of a mystery. Neither player has done enough to suggest they warrant such a deal.
However, with McBurnie in particular, he is a player who – if fit – can be a huge asset in the Championship.
The Scotland international was vital alongside Iliman Ndiaye in the promotion season and in fairness, has shown his importance when available this season.
As for Jebbison, Sheffield United News understands that a leg problem has kept him out this year and that there are some issues behind the scenes complicating his return.
However, the youngster hasn’t done enough when he has played to suggest a Premier League club will sign him.
Chris Wilder spoke this week of new contracts not being a priority for the club right now. Looking at this report, then, it seems the new gaffer is open to letting big players leave.
