Sheffield United Transfer News: Sander Berge latest stance, amid Liverpool links

Sheffield United fans will be pleased to hear that Sander Berge is currently ‘content’ with life at Bramall Lane, amid links to Liverpool and AC Milan.

Berge is always the subject of transfer interest in the window. This month has been no different so far, with reports claiming AC Milan and Roma are keen. Liverpool, meanwhile, have been credited with holding a long-term interest in Berge. Indeed, journalist Dean Jones recently confirmed the Norwegian is on the Reds’ radar.

However, while those clubs could be enticing for Berge, Yorkshire Live has given an update on the midfielder.

Yorkshire Live is reporting in its weekly run-down of all things United that Berge is more than happy at the club as it stands. Berge is believed to be ‘content’ and in the long-run, prefers to target playing back in the Premier League.

The SECRET MEETING That's About To RUIN FOOTBALL.

Of course, Berge stands a good chance of doing that with United right now. The Blades are 11 points clear of third place heading into tomorrow’s clash with Hull City.

Sheffield United News View: Berge can drive Blades to promotion

Berge has been unlucky with United at times. Whenever he’s looked like really kicking on, he seems to have had a knock back through injury. He’s now over the latest problem and while he’s made a slow start to life back in the XI, there is no doubting his quality.

During the final three months of last season, Berge was effectively unplayable. In the run to the playoffs, there were games when Berge simply frightened the opposition to death. When he’s in full flow running with the ball, there are few better at this level.

Hopefully, United do keep Berge in January. Of course, the priority remains Iliman Ndiaye. But if United keep both Berge and Ndiaye, promotion should be sealed.
