Sheffield United striker, Rhian Brewster, has been selecting his all-time XI of players he’s played with and he found room for one Blade in his squad.
Brewster, who signed from Liverpool for more than £20m in 2020, is currently out injured. Having hit a nice patch of form, the England under-21 star saw his season cruelly ended when he pulled up against Preston. He’s currently on the sidelines recovering alongside a host of other United players, including Jayden Bogle, Oli McBurnie and Billy Sharp.
But Brewster, ever the chipper character in interviews, still found time to do his all-time XI of players played with for the EFL YouTube channel this week. And despite picking a host of Liverpool, England and other Premier League players in there, only one man was up to the task when it came to the centre-forward role.
“Actually, there’s only one man I can put in this isn’t there really? He plays for the Blades, he scores a lot of goals, there’s only one Billy Sharp,” Brewster said.

Interestingly, Brewster resisted the urge to put in close friend Jayden Bogle, while current United superstar Morgan Gibbs-White was also shunned.
Our View: Rhian Brewster Can Hopefully Be The Next Billy Sharp
There’s nobody better for Brewster to learn off than the Blades skipper. Sharp has been there, done it, and bought the t-shirt more than a few times over.
And while this is a bit tongue-in-cheek and Brewster picks some of his pals, it’s a nice nod from the young man to include Sharp in his team. Certainly, the United skipper would get chances in this team, given Brewster selected the likes of Sancho, Foden, Hudson-Odoi, and Curtis Jones as four attacking midfielders.
For United fans, we can only hope Rhian produces like Sharp has done in his career. Certainly, the signs have been there, and you get the impression next season is massive for Brewster.
