It’s FA Cup action for Sheffield United this weekend as they take on Wolves – hopefully – to finally get some football under their belt following the cancelled festive period.
The Blades endured a nightmare period over Christmas. Every game was cancelled, as clashes with Preston, Hull, and Middlesbrough fell foul of Covid-19 measures. It must be added, that United weren’t at fault for any of the games being cancelled.

Ahead of the trip to Molineux, there are a number of players who will be hoping to be given a chance. However, with the lack of football, Paul Heckingbottom might well opt for his best XI. And one man he might be able to call on at Wolves is young striker, Rhian Brewster.
The former Liverpool man has been missing with a hamstring injury. At the time, Heckingbottom described the injury as ‘quite scary’ for young Rhian. But in what is a positive sign ahead of the Wolves trip, Brewster has been pictured taking part in full training with Sheffield United this morning.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Whether Brewster is included in the squad remains to be seen. United have a number of attacking options to choose from at Molineux.
One man who is unlikely to be involved is Oliver Burke. The striker is set to sign for Blackburn Rovers, with talks well advanced between all parties.
Our View: Rhian Brewster News Is Reward For Fixture Chaos
While the festive period being off was a nightmare for fans and players, there was always going to be a positive come out of it in the form of recovery. And that seems to be exactly what we’ve got with Rhian Brewster.
Heckingbottom told us before how he was recovering well and so it has been proven. Having Brewster back is great news for everyone at the club. Prior to his injury, he was just finding his feet. Two well taken goals had seen his confidence shoot up. And with Morgan Gibbs-White out injured for now anyway, United need all the goals they can get in the XI.
The next few weeks are going to be crucial in how United’s season pans out. Having a fit and firing Rhian Brewster available, then, is a massive boost to Heckingbottom.
