Tottenham have reportedly entered the race for Dean Henderson as Jose Mourinho looks to pip Chris Wilder to the signing of the Manchester United stopper.
According to a report from the Sun (page 43, print edition, 5th June 2020), Spurs are readying a £22m bid for the goalkeeper.

Henderson has been in superb form for Sheffield United this season. The stopper is right up there in terms of keeping clean sheets, with only Nick Pope having kept more.
However, such is his form and increasing reputation, other clubs are now keen on the England man. The Blades were hoping to keep Henderson for a third spell next year but Mourinho’s interest could well put a spanner in the works.

On the other hand, the Blades could remain confident of securing a deal. Officials at Old Trafford are thought to be keen on keeping Henderson in the long-term, meaning another loan deal may suit them better.
Will Spurs really pay £22m for Henderson? It’s doubtful
Given the current financial climate and the fact Spurs have just been revealed to have taken a £175m loan from the government, it’s hard to see Daniel Levy sanctioning a lot of big spending this summer.

Furthermore, it’s even harder to see him parting ways with over £20m for someone who might end up being number two. In addition to that, there is no way Henderson will move to Spurs to sit behind Hugo Lloris.
Chris Wilder will remain quietly confident when it comes to landing Henderson. The relationship and bond is there for all to see. Sometimes that can play a bigger part and Blades fans will be hoping that’s the case here.
He’s also loved by the current squad at Bramall Lane. Sander Berge previously described Henderson’s ability as ‘insane’.
