Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is apparently keen on bringing Liverpool striker, Rhian Brewster, to the club in the summer in a move which could see Lys Mousset make way.
That is, according to The Sun, who claim that Brewster is on the list of potential signings the Blades boss could be looking to make in the summer.
Liverpool youngster Brewster has been in sensational form for Swansea City of late, firing the Welsh side into the Championship play-offs thanks to a run of impressive goals following the restart.
Six goals since ‘project restart’ got underway has underlined Brewster’s talent. On the other hand, Blades striker Mousset is still struggling to find optimum fitness. Indeed, it was rumoured following the Everton game that Frenchman could be off.
Wilder has, however, confirmed he allowed the striker to return home, seemingly putting to bed rumours of a bust-up.
But the emergence of interest in Brewster could yet again raise questions over Mousset. Both players are quick, skilful, and have a keen eye for goal. It would, then, be a surprise to see both in any starting XI for the Blades.
Brewster looks a real talent…hopefully Klopp forgives us over Ben Woodburn!
There is no doubt that Rhian Brewster is going to be a top young striker and, given the chance, should develop into a Premier League player with ease.
He’s proven himself in the Championship now so the next logical step is the PL. However, United do face competition.
Swansea could well find themselves back in the top-flight themselves. Surely, then, Brewster would be more than open to returning for another spell at the Liberty?
Time will tell with this one. But we all know Chris Wilder has a magic touch at times and he could well convince the Liverpool starlet – and Jurgen Klopp – that Bramall Lane is the place to be.
