Reported Sheffield United target, Ben Davies, is set to a surprise move to Liverpool, according to reports from Football Insider.
The Blades have been interested in Davies since the summer. The Preston man is free to leave in the coming summer window, given his contract is due to expire in Lancashire.
Both Celtic and Bournemouth have also been tracking Davies. However, in a shock late move, it appears Liverpool are set to turn to the Preston man to solve their own defensive crisis.
The Reds are set to pay around £2m in order to land Davies now, as Jurgen Klopp seeks a temporary solution at centre-half.

Davies has been hugely impressing for North End in recent seasons but has refused to commit to a new deal. He’ll be unlikely to reject the chance at playing for the Reds, given the lure of the Premier League and the stature of the Anfield giants.
The Blades, meanwhile, are set for a quiet window. Chris Wilder admitted yesterday new recruits are unlikely.
On the outgoing side of things, Wilder wants to keep his squad together, although Lys Mousset has been linked this evening with a move to CSKA Moscow.
